Milk Production Reduction Scheme

More than 1,800 UK dairy farmers applied for the first tranche of the Milk Production Reduction Scheme. The scheme is aimed at dairy farmers that have decreased their production volume over the last 12 months, who will be eligible for a possible 12ppl payment on the amount they have decreased by.

The second tranche is now open. Hywel Davies of Rostons comments that “Welsh and English dairy farmers who have decreased their volume over the past 12 months could be eligible for funding”. If you require further information and feel as though you might be eligible, please contact the team at the office.

The proposed payment is 12ppl for every litre of production decreased, however as much of the funding pot has been used in the first tranche, this ppl could decrease.
